The Value and Joy of Meditation
In this incarnation, I would not have endured this far without the many benefits that come from meditating. Edgar Cayce's discourses encourage all of us to budget time to meditate, and now, after 40 years, I understand why. It is one of the best ways to experience personal contact, attunement, and union with God, to enhance the flow of the Forces of Life through our bodies and minds, and to keep ourselves centered and mindful. Meditation brings health, peace, guidance, a good disposition (or at least a better disposition), love toward others, and truth in one's heart and mind. It so enhances our energy levels. Edgar’s son Hugh Lynn Cayce first encouraged me to meditate regularly - if for no mental or spiritual reason, do it because it is so good for the body. Meditation became a part of my daily life, and now, after all these years, I've written may latest book about meditation and meditating. It is my hope that in some small way this blog will encourage and help others to learn how to meditate and to make the practice of meditation a part of their daily lives.

This JOY for me is the result now after more than 20 years of meditating of having "no thought" in my mind most of my waking moments.
ReplyDeleteWhen I need to "think," I do and at other times I have the peace of the "take no thought" Jesus commanded of us.
Wow kmiculka, that's so wonderful. Congrats. I am still dancing with the thinking mind often, but occasionally I know your state of consciousness, and it is a wonderful state of peace.
ReplyDeletehi john
ReplyDeletei have a question and im looking for guidance. i know how good meditation is for us all as individuals. i am much more motivated/energized when i know that what i am doing something for others. i love the idea of how the are has meditation times set up for world peace could we do that from here also? ans do you think that you couls give a monthly affirmation for us to concentrate on?
in kevin todeschi's chat in the live conference we spoke on that and his "instructions" to me really made a difference in how i lived the rest of that day ( unfortunatley it faded by the next day), i had a problem on the last egypt trip and i was confused as to how to handle it to be my best in the eyes of jesus, i put my question to peter, it was "what would edgar cayce say to do" for me cayce is the same as saying jesus or buddah or any of the masters that have walked the earth in the place of god. peters response was that cayce would say to
show the fruits of the spirit and that agreed with what is deepest in me. most people dont agree and we live in a world that needs more and more of us to live the fruits of the spirit. i am a person that just needs to be told what needs to be done and a little gidance (or push) and i can get the job done. how about this i have had many fantastic experiences meditating yet when i come back im feeling better and try to pass the good feeling on to others but im in the same old world, i can only teach by expample, and wait for everyone else to get it, patience
thank you for this posting space
ps im on my new computer i think my posting problem was related to my old one.
hi
ReplyDeletei did a modified version of your meditation today, i first breathed the energy up to my head, then breathed in through each of the chakras, by the time i got to the 3rd eye i was seeing the undulating lights one seems to come from inside the other in shades of purple and gold, i feel that when i see this i am as far as i can go in my concious mind or my ego mind, then i started repeating in my head be still, and stopped breathing to feel stillness, and followed with know god. it was a powerful experience. have you found that in doing meditation that every so often it is nessicary to change the process in order to keep making progress?
